"The Count of Monte Cristo," written by Alexandre Dumas, is a classic adventure novel exploring themes of justice, revenge, and redemption.
This project received second place in the Ritz Gallery Student show in the category of Graphic Design (2025) and is held in the gallery from April to August 2025

My goal in this redesign was to create a cover that honors the depth of the original story while giving it a modern, visually compelling twist that would appeal to a younger audience, specifically readers ages 17–25. I wanted the design to feel bold and exciting while also hinting at the richness of the narrative inside.
The novel’s core themes guided the design. I focused on capturing the emotional weight and complexity of the story, making sure the cover felt layered, intense, and symbolic. Every element was intentional. This approach mirrors the structure of the novel itself, where nothing is quite as it seems.
Ultimately, I wanted the cover to visually express the journey of vengeance and redemption, inviting new readers into a timeless tale with a fresh, contemporary edge.

The book is so large that I needed to create a second book to finish the story. For the type and illustrations, I researched the French Revolution, color theory, and different ways to illustrate themes.
